Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time (Yr C) – 4 November 2007

Aspirant for the Diaconate, Mr John O’Hanlon, reflects upon the Zacchaeus story in Luke 19:1-10 and relates Jesus’ invitation to Zacchaeus to ourselves: How is Jesus calling us down out of the tree to be in relationship with us? (John preached this homily as part of his training while at Coolangatta-Tugun Parish).

 

Sixth Sunday of Easter (Yr A) – 27 April 2008

Fr Pat MacAnally reflects upon the theme of Leave-Taking in John 14:15-21.  In his reflection Fr Pat draws upon Fr Huong’s departure from the Parish and ANZAC day remembrance.

This homily, given by Fr Dan Ryan at the Alpha Retreat on Ascension Sunday, reflects upon Acts 1.1-11 and Matthew 28:16-20.  He looks at the current time of Christianity as “the Middle time” and the promise of the Holy Spirit.

This homily, given by Fr Pat MacAnally reflects upon the Easter-Ascension-Pentecost event from the perspective of Mary Magdala, the first witness to the Resurrection and Jesus’ promise to be with us always (Matthew 28:16-20).
